Why

New fuels will be an important component of a strategy to reduce both greenhouse gas emissions and our dependence on petroleum. The Swedish government has established a goal for the Swedish transport industry to function without fossil fuels by 2030. To achieve this goal requires a concerted response, with participation from all stakeholders.

Swedish researchers in various disciplines and at various universities and institutes have a unique breadth and they are at the forefront in several research areas related to the production of renewable fuels. Through collaboration, f3 will help to link engineering and systems research and communicate results and conclusions from these research efforts.
